Leads
Review lead accounts, import contacts from a file, and configure lead fields and layouts.
The Leads page is available when leads are enabled for your workspace. It shows companies in the Lead lifecycle stage, previously named Prospect. Open it from More and pin it to the navigation rail for quick access.
Review your leads
Search, sort, and filter the list, then save a view for the leads you want to revisit. Leads has its own saved views and list layout. Open a row to inspect the company record and its associated contact information.
Import leads
Admins and owners can select Add leads → Upload from file, or choose Leads in Settings → Data import.
- Upload a CSV or Excel (
.xlsx) file, up to 10 MB. Excel imports use the first worksheet. - Review the suggested column mappings. Map a column to the contact email, then map the company, contact, and lead fields you want to import. Skip unwanted columns.
- Select Start import and review the progress and result message.
Every row needs a valid contact email outside your organization's own domains. Cust matches existing contacts by email. If the matching contact belongs to a company in the Lead stage, the import updates that lead. If it belongs to a Customer, Churned, or Ignored company, the row is skipped and the result explains why.
New contact emails can create separate lead companies even when they share a domain. A matching company name or domain alone does not merge them. Review the email addresses and resulting records before retrying a file.
Mapped values can update existing fields. A blank mapped cell can clear an existing value, so skip columns you do not intend to change. See Data import for mapping controls and failed-row handling.
Customize lead fields and layouts
Admins and owners can open Settings → Objects → Lead to add lead custom fields and configure separate Detail view and List view layouts. These layouts can include company fields, the contact's name and email, the lead creation date, and lead custom fields. Lead custom fields can also be mapped during import.
Lead-specific layouts appear when the leads feature is enabled. The company lifecycle stage still determines whether a record belongs in the Leads list.
