Apps are custom tools that run inside Cust, such as an account dashboard, renewal review, or portfolio report. Describe the tool you need, work through a preview with the Assistant, and publish a version when it is ready.

Apps availability depends on your workspace configuration. Building apps requires a Builder, Admin, or Owner role. Members can use published apps shared with them.

Find an app

My apps contains your own apps and drafts.
Workspace contains apps shared with the team.
Discover, when available, contains apps provided by Cust.

To adapt someone else's app, choose Add to My apps. This creates your own copy. Editing an app is limited to its owner, even when it is shared with the workspace.

Build and preview

Start a new app and describe the audience, data, and actions it should support. Attach a reference file or image if it helps explain the result.
Use the builder chat to request changes and inspect the preview.
Check the data, filters, links, and controls relevant to your use case. Use Reload preview if needed.
Select Publish. Cust builds the app in the background and shows publishing progress on its app page.

Wait for publishing to finish and open the resulting app to verify it. If publishing fails, return to the builder to address the error. A working preview alone does not mean the published version has changed.

Publishing creates a runnable version; sharing controls who can use it. After publishing your app, use Share to workspace to make it available to teammates. Make private removes that workspace sharing.

Use Create a copy for a separate variation. Changes in the builder remain draft changes until you publish again. Discard draft changes restores the published version and restarts the builder chat; discarded changes cannot be recovered through that action.
