Zoom
Connect Zoom to bring Revenue Accelerator and AI Companion meeting summaries and next steps onto your customer timelines.
Connect Zoom to keep customer meeting summaries alongside the rest of your account history. Cust imports summaries and next steps from Zoom Revenue Accelerator and AI Companion, matches them to customer meetings, and makes the content available for analysis and Assistant context.
Before you start
Zoom must be enabled for your Cust workspace. A Cust admin or owner manages the connection, and a Zoom account admin approves access. If Zoom is missing from Integrations, contact support@cust.co.
What Cust syncs
| Source | What Cust imports |
|---|---|
| Revenue Accelerator | The conversation summary and next steps. |
| AI Companion | The meeting recap, topic sections, and next steps. |
Cust also reads the meeting topic, timing, host, and participant details that Zoom makes available. If both Zoom sources cover the same meeting, Cust prefers the Revenue Accelerator summary.
The sync is read-only. Cust does not change your Zoom meetings or import audio, video, or full transcripts. A cloud recording alone is not enough: Zoom must generate a supported summary and make it available to the connected account.
Prepare your Zoom account
- For AI Companion: use an eligible paid Zoom plan with a licensed meeting host and Meeting summary with AI enabled. The host must use the summary feature during the meeting. See Zoom's meeting-summary requirements.
- For Revenue Accelerator: your account needs a Revenue Accelerator license. The connecting admin also needs a Revenue Accelerator role with access to the conversations you want to import, such as Revenue Accelerator Admin.
- For reliable account matching: connect your calendar and make sure customer contacts and their email addresses are present in Cust.
You can use AI Companion summaries without a Revenue Accelerator license. Revenue Accelerator access is optional and needs its own permissions during authorization.
Connect Zoom
Open Zoom in Cust
Go to Settings → Integrations → Zoom and select Connect Zoom account.
Approve access in Zoom
Sign in as a Zoom account admin. Review the requested permissions and select Allow.
To import Revenue Accelerator content, also select all three optional Revenue Accelerator permissions for listing conversations, reading conversation details, and reading conversation analysis. These require the appropriate Revenue Accelerator role.
Without those permissions, Cust imports AI Companion summaries only. If they are unavailable, ask your Zoom admin to check your Revenue Accelerator license and role.
Let the initial sync run
Return to Cust and check the connection status. Cust imports the available summary history, then checks for new content every 15 minutes. Large histories and Zoom's API limits can add processing time.
Use Trigger full resync, then Start sync, when you need Cust to check the available history again. This action is unavailable while a sync is already running.
Check a customer meeting
Open a company's Interactions and select a Zoom meeting. Look for the summary under Key points and action items under Next steps.
How meetings are matched to companies
Cust first looks for the matching calendar event using its Zoom meeting link and the meeting's start time. When it finds a match, the summary uses that meeting's company and contact associations.
If there is no calendar match, Cust tries to match participant email addresses to your contacts and their companies. Zoom may omit guest email addresses, so calendar matching is especially useful for those meetings.
Content without a matching customer is held for later matching. It can appear on the company timeline after the relevant contact or company becomes available in Cust.
Use the meeting content
- Read the summary and next steps on the account's interactions timeline.
- Use the content for sentiment and topic analysis, customer intelligence, and signals.
- Ask the Assistant about customer conversations, for example, “What did we agree in our latest meeting with this customer?” Answers use the imported summaries, so details absent from the summaries are not available through this integration.
Troubleshooting
| What you see | What to check |
|---|---|
| Zoom is missing from Integrations | Contact support to enable it for your workspace. |
| AI Companion summaries arrive, but Revenue Accelerator content does not | Check the connecting admin's Revenue Accelerator license, role, and all three optional permissions. Disconnect, then connect again and grant all three permissions. Imported meetings are kept. |
| A completed meeting is missing | Confirm that Zoom has generated a supported summary, the connected account can access it, and a sync has completed. Then check the calendar link and customer contact emails. |
| A meeting has no customer match | Connect the calendar or add the matching customer contact. Guest email addresses may not be available from Zoom. |
| The connection needs attention | If Cust shows Reconnect Zoom account, use it to authorize again with a Zoom account admin. Use Trigger full resync after access is restored if history needs to be checked again. |
One Zoom account can be connected to a Cust workspace at a time, and that Zoom account cannot be connected to another Cust workspace at the same time. When another meeting tool has already supplied content for the same calendar event, Cust avoids attaching a second copy. Check the existing meeting before treating a second source as a missing import.
Disconnect or remove the app
To stop syncing, open Settings → Integrations → Zoom in Cust and select Disconnect. Cust also requests revocation of its Zoom authorization.
You can also remove Cust in Zoom: open App Marketplace → Manage → Added Apps, find Cust, and select Remove. Zoom notifies Cust, which disconnects the integration.
After disconnection, Cust removes its saved Zoom credentials and stops future syncs. Previously imported meetings stay in your Cust workspace. For help deleting imported data, email support@cust.co or submit a request through the privacy page.
