Audiences

Build reusable, dynamic groups of companies from your customer data.

An audience is a named group of companies whose membership is calculated from a saved definition. Use one for accounts approaching renewal, customers with declining usage, or a segment that combines CRM data with recent conversations.

Note

Audiences must be enabled for your workspace. Members can view audiences; creating and changing definitions requires a Builder, Admin, or Owner role.

Create an audience

  1. Open Audiences and start a new audience.
  2. Describe who belongs in it, or choose a suggested starting point. For example: "Customers renewing in the next 90 days that have an open support issue."
  3. Review the proposed company list and total count. Ask the Assistant to refine the definition if the results are too broad or too narrow.
  4. Give it a clear name and description, then select Create audience.

The Assistant turns your description into a query against workspace data. View definition lets you inspect the underlying SQL. You can refine it through chat without writing SQL yourself.

Membership and refresh

Cust refreshes saved membership through background processing. The audience list shows when it was last refreshed. A preview is a proposed result; it does not save an audience until you create or save it.

Use audiences in company filters and in signals that react when a company enters or exits an audience. Initial creation establishes the starting membership. Changing and saving a definition recomputes membership silently, without firing enters-audience or exits-audience signals for that edit. Later membership transitions can trigger those signals.

Update or reuse a definition

Open an audience, ask for changes, inspect the preview, and select Save. Discard restores the saved definition.

Use the menu to Duplicate audience when you want a variation. The copy uses the last saved definition, so save any changes you want to keep first. Deleting an audience removes the audience, not its company records; review automations that depend on it before deleting it.
