Grain
Bring Grain meeting recordings into Cust with a workspace access token, so every recorded customer meeting lands on the right account.
Grain records your video meetings and generates AI notes for each one. Connecting it means every recorded customer meeting shows up on the right account in Cust, ready for analysis.
What Cust syncs
For each recording, Cust imports:
- Meeting details: title, date, duration, and a link back to the recording in Grain.
- Participants: everyone in the meeting, with internal and external attendees distinguished.
- Grain's AI notes: the meeting summary and action items that Grain generates.
Each recording becomes a meeting on the matching company's timeline. The sync is read-only, and Cust does not import the audio or video itself.
Connect Grain
Admins connect Grain in Settings under Integrations.
Create a workspace access token in Grain
In Grain, go to Settings, then Integrations, then API, and generate a workspace access token. This requires workspace admin access in Grain.
Add the token in Cust
Choose Grain on the Integrations page and paste the token. Cust verifies it immediately.
Let the initial sync run
The first sync imports your full recording history. After that, Cust checks for new recordings every hour, and you can trigger a full resync from the connection page at any time.
How meetings are matched to companies
Cust first tries to match each recording to the calendar meeting it belongs to. When that succeeds, the recording attaches to the same company and contacts as the meeting.
When there is no calendar match, Cust falls back to the participants: external attendee emails are matched against your contacts, and the meeting attaches to the matched contact's company. Recordings whose participants Cust does not recognize yet are held rather than dropped, and they attach automatically once the matching contact or company appears in your portfolio.
Internal-only meetings, where every attendee is on your own domain, are not imported.
How Cust uses the data
- The meeting shows up on the account's interactions timeline, with Grain's summary and action items.
- Sentiment and topic analysis run on the meeting content, feeding customer intelligence and signals.
- The content is available as context to the Assistant.
Notes and limitations
- One Grain workspace per Cust workspace.
- A recording appears in Cust only after Grain has generated its AI summary. Recordings still waiting on a summary are picked up on a later sync.
- Disconnecting stops the sync but preserves the meetings already imported.
Already recording with another tool?
Cust also integrates with Gong, Fireflies, Modjo, Granola, and Zoom. See the full list on the integrations overview. When two tools cover the same meeting, the first synced transcript is kept.
